Merbein in Northern Victoria is trialling a new rest area

Merbein, located close to Mildura on the road to Wentworth , NSW, is trialling an area in natural bushland with a good view of the Murray River as a R V rest area. It is located in Chaffey Park Cliffs near the Mildara Winery.
The trial by Mildura Rural City Council will last until June 2011. There are no amenities and would only be suitable for self contained vehicles. If the trial is a success , and the town’s traders realise how much extra revenue it can bring to the town, it may even be developed further.
