Problem No.1 The ground is all over the place, and even with levelling wedges it is difficult to get the van level.

The url below will lead you to a great buy of a twin tub washing machine ,although 240v it runs well off a 300w pure sine inverter and the spinner does a great job we find we can do 3 loads of normal ( not grotty) clothes wash and rinse with 15L of water so great when free camping and they dry quicker when put through a spinner anyway have a look

Recently spent a great weekend at Jugiong.

We all 16camps camped in the old show ground behind the children's playground.

Toilets were available but no showers.

The townspeople were very hospitable.

We had a wine tasting @ Wirrilla Wine Cellar and a great dinner at the Motor

Inn.

The district also has a great drive if one goes to Gundagai via the roads on the

opposite side of the river. We also had a round of golf on the sand green course

which was great fun.

Doing the right thing

Being a Recreational Vehicle (RV) tourist brings with it certain responsibilities.

Sadly, there are those travellers who do not do the right thing, and they subsequently give this industry and all RV tourists a bad name. They also make it very difficult for those who work so hard negotiating with local Councils for new and better rest areas and new dump point installations.

So we thought it timely to address some of the issues that confront us, and to hopefully ...

Well hi foks, just joined and we are setting up an NS Pajero with a Supreme Territory van. We like them both but missed a crucial point before we bought. When set up you cannot open the back swing door. The same applies to Prado. We went looking at a Hyland hitch to-day but it is still too bulky. We are just about resigned to unhitching whenever we want to open the back door. But I hate giving up. Any suggestions other than changing towing vehicle. Peter G.

Also, another nearby town, Home Hill, has free RV overnight parking in a designated street in the town, see their link below;
